India has long been the victim of economization of products, which basically means reducing the price of the product as much as possible keeping the minimum profit margin. But the only way they know of doing this id reducing the quality of product… and this is done so much that they often pay less attention to the balance of quality and quantity.
There is no wrong in in making plentiful products in India as the population is huge…. But quantity limits variety and limited variety directly indicates limited choice. With electric mobility still being in its infancy, the chance to prove itself as better than the conventional options is plenty... looking at the present market mahindra e2o and bajaj qute r the only options for EV for the consumers as compared to 500+ variety of petrol and diesel vehicles.
Indian automotive industry lacks highly in the Design section.... most of the concepts are boring and lacks creativity... no doubt ferrari, porsche and other exotic car companies create such head turner products. there are more international brands on indian roads than than indian brands... and more over almost all the designs are not developed by indians but by foreign designers.
let me ask you something:
what if this had been an electric vehicle on indian roads costing about 7 -10 lakhs?
would you buy it?
Lets say its a coupe (2 door) but can comfortably house 4 passengers including driver!
Gives u a range of 250 kms
Has solar regeneration as well as regen braking
Why would u not buy it?
lets say something like this was to appear in the market:
Still incomplete but you get the idea!
Tell me you never dreamed about those topless cars like audi r8 spyder?
why dream when you can contribute in making it happen?
crowdfunding suggests that a particular thing is believed in by many. Hence what not a company that heeds to their choice of design and specification?? say a company who listens to your problem and offers multiple solutions to your problem and you can choose which one you need!
in short let's say a company who will take suggestions from YOU and apply their engineering and design skills to provide you a vehicle that YOU want.
